Each accepted paper must be covered by at least full member/non-member registration by the Camera-Ready deadline, and one registration can cover up to four papers.
Due to requests regarding the summer vacations period, the Organizing Committee has decided to extend the registration deadline till August 26th. After this date, authors of accepted papers will no longer be able to register to cover a paper publication.
All registration fees covering a paper are non-refundable.
Non-Presented Paper (No-Show) Policy
At least one of the authors of an accepted paper must register until August 26th. Such time in advance is essential due to open preview requirements and also to complete the build of the virtual conference site. Hence, after August 26, association of papers to registrations will no longer be possible. Any paper without a valid associated registration will be withdrawn from the proceedings and IEEE Xplore, and the video will not be accepted for presentation during the conference.
Additionally, any accepted paper included in the final program is expected to have at least one author or qualified proxy presenting the paper at the virtual conference, by uploading a video presentation and being present at the corresponding Question and Answer (Q&A) Forum. This Q&A Forum will consist of a public board associated with each paper where attendees may post questions. Questions posted during one week after the scheduled presentation time should be answered within the next 72 hours after posting. Session chairs will monitor the activity of these Q&A sessions and will be asked to report back on situations of inactivity, which will potentially imply the declaration of a no-show. Should this be the case, the paper will not be published by IEEE on IEEE Xplore® or other public access forums, but will still be distributed to conference attendees as conference proceedings and the copyright of these papers will belong to IEEE, unless reclaimed by submitting a request to IEEE. Conference organizers are required to collect attendance records and a list of any non-presented papers and submit to IEEE Signal Processing Society.
Exceptions to this policy will be made by the Technical Program Chairs of the conference only if there is evidence that the no-show occurred because of unanticipated events beyond the control of the authors, and every option available to the authors to present the paper was exhausted.
Specific instructions about paper presentation at the virtual SiPS 2020 will be emailed to the authors of accepted papers.
